Metelsmithing, 2012-2018
Overview:
During my first undergrad study, in Fine Arts, I had the pleasure of taking a metalsmith class as an elective. This struck an untapped passion in me of Jewelry making! I could not resist buying out all the local bead stores, getting my hands on the most beautiful chains, and loved the ability to transform a bunch of separate pieces into a wearable item!
I began doing shows around Chicago under the company name 15 Sunridge Ln (a nod to my childhood address) and looking back see this as a time I began to also explore my creativity in graphic design. I would create business cards, signs for my displays, and marketing materials.
Below are a few notable pieces, but my collections range form beading, wire wrapping, to full fire and torch metalsmithing!
Although I have not had time in recent years to keep up my small company, I still turn to jewelry making as a nightly and weekend craft that brings me tons of relaxation.
